The Neepawa Rotary Club and guests at their weekly luncheon meeting on Friday, June 10 got to see a bit of Ethiopia, thanks to their guest speaker of the week.
Bill Taylor, a retired teacher from Brandon, was part of a Rotary Sponsored Vocational Training Team that went to Ethiopia to train school teachers.

Neepawa approves new cemetery sidewalk

Town Council has approved the installation of a new sidewalk at the Neepawa Cemetery. The Town received two formal bids on this project, which will feature an intricate design that wraps around the site’s new columbarium. J.C. Lavish Construction had the low bid at $25,000. That bid amount was approved and a timeline for the work to begin is currently being explored
Summer at the food bank

Summer is almost here! Which means everyone’s normal routine gets traded in for vacations, camps, late night bonfires, visiting family and friends. It is such a wonderful time of year to enjoy the outdoors and our many hours of sunlight. One of the effects of all of us getting out of routine includes the donations to the food bank tend to dwindle for the summer. Unfortunately the use of the food bank does not correlate to this reduction in donations.
