The 2018 Neepawa and District Fine Arts Festival was a success! The executive festival committee feels very well supported by the community, as many individuals and service groups donated money for scholarships.

Town unveils 2018 financial plan

Municipal taxes for Neepawa property owners are going up…but not really. On Tuesday, Apr. 17,  Town Council reviewed the details of its 2018 financial plan. The impact to the average homeowners will see them paying an additional $3.14 in taxes per $200,000 of their assessed property value, or the cost of a large coffee and a donut. This proposed increase is applicable to commercial properties as well.

For one night, instead of reporting the news, Manitoba newspapers were the news. On Saturday, Apr. 14, the Neepawa Banner & Press and Rivers Banner staff attended the Manitoba Community Newspaper Association’s annual Better Newspapers Competition.

It’s about time to take fresh pictures of Manitoba’s official wildflower, the wild prairie crocus. The 2018 Wild Crocus Photo Contest is back again in Arden. This is the tenth consecutive year the event has been a part of the annual Arden Crocus Festival.
