Traveling across a foreign country by oneself, not knowing where you are going to stay or if you have somewhere to stay, could be quite intimidating. But cousins Melody Terrasse (28) and Antoine Auriate (29), from Lyon, France, and best friends Franziska Kuner (19) and Kim Willman (19), from Donaueschingeu, Germany, are enjoying doing so.

Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs. I grow it in my garden every year and if I chop onions I remove the onion smell from my hands by running them through a stem of rosemary. Ancient Greek students wore rosemary garlands in their hair to improve memory. Placed under your pillow it is said to prevent bad dreams. For centuries it was used in wedding bouquets as it is a symbol of fidelity, love and friendship. My favorite use for it is in soups and stews.
