The Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Neepawa Natives dealt blueliner Craig Sigvaldason to the Portage Terriers for future considerations. Sigvaldason, 19, from Arborg, played one game for Neepawa this year. He netted one goal and nine points in 29 games last year for the Natives.

Meanwhile, there have been a few other deals in the MJHL recently.

The Virden Oil Capitals shipped 19-year-old forward Brendan Persley back to the Vernon Vipers for futures.

Persley ended up not reporting to Virden after being released by the WHL's Tri-City Americans last week. He was acquired by Virden from Vernon Sept. 3 in a deal that saw Brandon product Mitch Van Teeling sent to the Vipers.

The Portage Terriers acquired 18-year-old defenceman Matt Alexander from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL for future considerations, while the Dauphin Kings have traded 20-year-old goaltender Matt Larose to the Wellington Dukes for futures.

Lastly, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines traded 20-year-old blueliner Taylor Armstrong and futures to the Kindersley Klippers for 20-year-old blueliner David Haaf and 20-year-old defenceman Zane Morin.
