Heisinger named MJHL player of the week

Jake Heisinger of the Winnipeg Blues has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week.

Heisinger, 20, a forward, has tallied three goals and seven points in three games last week and is currently tied for second in league scoring.

Jake’s father is Craig Heisinger, who is the assistant general manager of the Winnipeg Jets.

The runners up for the award were Justin McDonald, a goaltender of the OCN Blizzard and Parker Thomas, a forward of the Selkirk Steelers.
