Neepawa's Erin Cathcart gave an impassioned speech thanking her family not only for their support after she was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis less than two years ago, but also for helping her to organize the first annual "It Takes Guts" barrel racing event held on Sunday, June 22nd at the Neepawa Fairgrounds. With half of the entry fees being contributed directly to Crohn's and Colitis Canada, the purple-clad supporters and competitors helped to raise a total of $7,736 for the cause.
