Legion Auxiliary report – Indoor Yard Sale upcoming

Comments

The Feb. 11 meeting of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary was held with 25 members present.
The April 5 Indoor Yard Sale is almost filled with vendors. A soup and sandwich lunch will be available. Auxiliary members are reminded that donations are being accepted for a “White Elephant” table.

Profits will go to the Neepawa Health Centre for the purchase of equipment.

The fundraising for the Air Cadets' trip to Normandy is going well. The auxiliary has donated $5,000 so far. Members of the cadets are willing helpers at meat draw suppers, to aid with this fundraiser.

Several other donations were approved and will be forwarded to the following: Provincial Ladies Council University Students Scholarship Fund, Beautiful Plains Community Foundation's Time and Talent Auction, the Neepawa and District Fine Arts Festival, Silver Spurs 4-H Club and the Neepawa United Way.

Several members attended the Zone 25 meeting in Minnedosa on Feb. 9. It was noted that Neepawa has the largest membership in this zone, with 90 members.

The annual District No. 2 meeting will be held on March 15 in Rapid City. Elsie Slimmon and Laurie Kohinski have volunteered to represent our group.

The next monthly meeting will be held on March 11.
