A princess' dream for Arden Ladies Cashpiel

Joan Paramor/Neepawa Press

First event winners, from left, are Kayla Hunter, Bailey Wiebe, Synnovah Hunter and Tanya Pottinger.

The Arden Ladies Cashspiel was held the weekend of Feb. 22-23, 2014.

Curling began Saturday morning with a few rinks curling back-to-back games. Supper was prepared by Terry Buechler and her helpers - of course it was delicious as usual.

Thanks to Sharla Magwood and Elizabeth Paramor for using their imaginations in preparing fun and games to make everyone feel like a princess. It was a princess' dream come true evening.

On Sunday, the spectators enjoyed the final draws of curling.

The final results were as follows:
First Event winners were the Kayla Hunter team over the Cheryl Hammond foursome. The Second Event winner was Audrey Paramor team with a little help from their young curler Leyla over the Kerry Funk team.

The Third Event was won by the three-generation team of Marg Goodwill over the Pat Paramor team.

A great big bouquet of "Thank you's" to all who donated their time in the kitchen, and with the bonspiel.

We would like to encourage community members who were not involved to come and join us in our Mixed Bonspiel April 4-6, 2014.

It's the people in the community working together that make things happen to have a successful bonspiel.
