The NACI Tigers put together one of their most dominant performances in recent memory this past Friday when the Parkwest Outlaws traveled to Neepawa.
NACI led 20-0 at half and powered through to a 60-6 win by the time the final buzzer rang to give local football fans a game to remember on a chilly night.
The scoring game from all over the field, as the offense totaled 487 yards and six touchdowns, the defense accounted for one touchdown, and the special teams scored touchdowns off both kickoff and punt returns.
Lynden Middleton led the offense with 218 yards rushing with three touchdowns, and added three special teams runbacks for 70 yards.
Meanwhile the team’s quarterback duties were split between Linden Baker and Brendan Cowan, who combined for six completions and 31 yards. Cowan added 141 yards rushing, including 2 touchdown runs.
Jason Caines had the offense’s other touchdown off a 63-yard run.
Defensively, the team registered 27 tackles, two sacks, and recovered one fumble. Will Birnie led the way with six tackles and one interception that he returned for a 19-yard touchdown.
Wyatt Salmon also had a career night with four tackles, two sacks, and four runbacks for 158 yards including 75-yard kickoff and 45-yard punt returns for touchdowns.
