Hazel M. Kellington School has welcomed four new teachers to its classrooms to begin the 2013-14 school year. Above photo: Ms. Sheena Taylor, left, joins the school as a Grade 1 teacher while Mrs. Shannon Doerksen, right, is teaching the split Grade 1/2 class. Ms. Taylor spent last year teaching in the Prairie Spirit School Division at schools in Manitou and Cartwright, and taught overseas in Kuwait for three years prior to that. Mrs. Doerksen spent the past six years teaching at the Beautiful Plains School Division's Acadia Colony school.
Bottom left photo: Ms. Micki Kolbe is teaching one of three Grade 5 classes at HMK. Kolbe spent the past two years as a teaching principal at Sprucewoods Colony school in the BPSD, and taught German and EAL in Winkler for eight years prior to that. Ms. Kolbe joins Mr. Murray Parrott and Mrs. Sylvie Tomoniko as HMK's Grade 5 teachers.
Bottom right photo: New Grade 1 teacher Mrs. Tani Major joins HMK after teaching in British Columbia as well as teaching for five years at St. Charles Catholic School in Winnipeg. Ms. Major currently teaches her Grade 1 class in the mornings at NACI while Mrs. Lee teaches the class for the afternoon.
