The Neepawa area will again be well-represented at this year's edition of one of Westman's best-known ensemble choirs.
Four students from Neepawa and Kelwood schools have been chosen to be a part of the 2013 Westman Youth Choir. A total of 53 different high school students from 19 communities will make up this year's version of the annual choir.
Among those will be Neepawa's Emma Salmon, Samantha Salmon, and Joel Asselestine, as well as Kelwood's Kenny Benoit.
As the tour schedule alternates on a yearly basis, the choir won't be travelling to Neepawa this year. Instead the tour – which runs Oct. 19-22 – will include evening concerts in Virden, Russell, Melita and Brandon.
The choir will also perform at schools in Birtle, Elkhorn, Boissevain and Brandon, as well as a church service in Virden.
This year's conductors are Rob Monson and Sarah Hall. Rev. Geoffrey Angeles will be the accompanist.
