An accident occurring at the junction of Highway 5 and 16, near the Esso gas and service station, has sent two to hospital.
Late last Monday, a motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred at the junction.
RCMP and EMS crews responded to the incident and blocked off a section of Highway 16 as a result.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to the Neepawa Hospital and then transported to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg with what RCMP have explained as broken ribs and injuries to the lower extremities. The driver was taken in stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was also taken to hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. RCMP are still investigating who was at fault in the incident.
