The Gladstone District Community Centre (GDCC) is continuing its goal to bring top-class entertainment to its community.
Organizers have announced they will be featuring another family-friendly show at the end of the month - “Singamajiggin' with Mr. Mark!” - featuring a playful theme and energetic host.
“I had the opportunity to preview Mr. Mark at the annual Manitoba Arts Network Showcase and found his show to be very entertaining,” Glad-West Rec's Susan Rosa said. “He was funny, interactive and put on a very enjoyable show.”
Mr. Mark combines the use of a variety of instruments and props including a “kooky collection” of carhorns, kazoos, whistles, bells and a bedpan – all on a washboard.
The show is a “musical monstrosity” that promises singing, dancing and side-splitting songs “celebrating the real joys of family life”.
“Who doesn't want to see a Sing-a-ma-jig??” Rosa playfully questioned after explaining the highlights of his performance.
The show starts at 2 p.m. at the GDCC, doors open at 1 p.m., and
Glad-West Rec. will be on hand with games, crafts and face painting.
Tickets are on sale for discount prices until Sept. 20 - $10 per person, or $25 per family – and are available at several Plumas and Gladstone businesses, as well as by contacting Rosa at (204) 385-2332.
