A nationally acclaimed magical show is making its Manitoba performance debut in Gladstone. Outerbridge – Clockwork Mysteries, a theatrical production with over 20 custom-designed illusions and world-class lighting and set design, is set to hit the Gladstone District Community Centre March 8 at 7:30 p.m. The show featuring Ted and Marion Outerbridge is the largest and most successful touring illusion show in Canada, has been named the 2010 Touring Artist of the Year, received the 2011 Award of Excellence from Ontario Contact and the pair have been hailed “the most successful magicians in Canada” by the Montreal Gazette. With all of its accolades, Outerbridge may be one of the most acclaimed illusion shows to ever come to the Gladstone-Neepawa area. “It's something totally different. I'm super excited for it, especially considering Gladstone will be the first community for the show to come to in Manitoba,” Glad-West Rec Commission's Rec Director Susan Rosa said. “The show's been booked for 18 months and we're hoping to see a lot of people come out to see it.” Outerbridge's show includes a time machine, levitation along with a variety of other illusions that promise to keep the audience's attention, both young and old. “We really want everyone to know that this is a family show and something that everyone will enjoy,” Rosa pointed out. Tickets to the show are $30 and can be reserved by calling 204-385-2332, emailing gladwestrec@gladstone.ca or by visiting Gladstone's Town office, the Gladstone Pharmacy, Gladstone Supermarket, Clarke's of Gladstone or the Plumas Stop 'n Shop.
