Joseph Larion Kulbacki passed away January 31, 2013, at the age of 63, at Neepawa Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Joe was born September 6, 1949, to Joseph Stanley and Charlotte Virginia (Kasprick) at his grandparents’ home in Polonia, Manitoba. Joe grew up in Eden, Manitoba, where he attended Eden Consolidated School. He remained active in his community all his life, with baseball hockey and curling. He later enjoyed camping and fishing with friends, and gardening at his home in Neepawa. Joe worked on highway construction where he travelled around Manitoba. He farmed in the R.M.s of Rosedale and Lansdowne, and worked at Coop and Munro’s hauling fertilizer. He later was licenced as a recreational refrigeration operator, became an ice maker at the Yellowhead arena, and helped with the curling ice at the Neepawa curling rink. Joe married Sandra (Bayes) in 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home in Neepawa. Their daughter Jillian was born in 1988. The most important things in Joe’s life were his family, and his love and commitment to them will be greatly missed. Joe was predeceased by his mother Charlotte, mother in-law Doreen, and brother in-law Ron. Joe is survived by his wife Sandra, daughter Jillian, his father Joe, sisters Joanne Stewart (Jim) and Robyn Swark (Kelly), Brother Jack Kulbacki (Brenda) and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. There was only one Joe. As a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, in-law, and friend Joe will always be missed. Funeral services were held at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church in Neepawa, Manitoba on Feb 5th Father Michael Raj Savarimuthu.
