We, the family of Catherine “Kay” Jenkins who passed away on January 2, 2013 want to take this opportunity to thank those who were involved in Kay’s care over the last several years and at the time of her passing. Thanks to Dr. Owen White for the many years of care and friendship that he gave to our family. A thank you to the staff and support workers who were with Mom through her years of residency at East View Lodge and Country Meadows. We were always thankful that Mom had a safe haven surrounded by caring people that looked after her daily needs. She was indeed in the hands of angels. The family would like to thank Bruce Mitchell and Ron Elliot for the friendship they had with Mom and the care they extended to her during some of her more difficult times. Thanks to all of you who sent flowers, food trays, cards and to those folks who called us to express heartfelt sympathy and in some cases to share some of your memories with us about Mother. Thanks to the professionalism extended to us by Nathan and Brian at White’s Funeral Home. Your commitment and genuine caring was greatly appreciated. We want to thank the Neepawa Legion Ladies Auxiliary for the excellent lunch they provided for us following the service. Thanks to Tina for the words of remembrance of the grandchildren’s combined memories of Grandma Jenkins; you did a great job on behalf of the grandchildren and we all appreciated the humor in some of the stories. Thanks to Bruce, Barry, Yvonne and Chad, Derek and Kelly for being the pallbearers. Mom was proud of all of you and it was only fitting to have 2 Bremner nephews and a niece as well as three grandchildren carry her to her final resting place. We wish to extend a special thank you to Rita Friesen who officiated the service. Your thoughtfulness, words of remembrance and kindness will always be remembered.
