Only a week after the team clinched its first trip to the playoffs, the Westman Wolverines have won their first ever post-season game. The Wolverines defeated the St. James Rods 34-30 on Saturday in Winnipeg in the fourth vs. fifth place game. The Wolverines were down 20-17 heading into the final quarter. Westman will now advance to the semi-finals to face off against the Eastside Eagles this Saturday. Former NACI Tiger Ethan Jowett registered four tackles. Wolverines 32-Falcons 10 The Westman Wolverines clinched their first trip to the post-season Oct. 6 when they demolished the Greendell Falcons to finish the season with a 4-win, 4-loss record, good enough to earn fifth place and the final playoff spot. A few former NACI Tigers athletes once again gave a helping hand, as Bryce Unger grabbed one long reception for 32 yards. Bradley Kyle pitched in with three punt returns for 38 yards total, while defensively Ethan Jowett made four tackles.
