McCreary Health Auxiliary members attending the group's yearly conference are, from left, Mary Shultz, Annie Lashewicz, Theresa Nault and Vern Sheppard. Outdoor activities planned for October

Today has seen a number of weather changes from rain, sleet, sunny, cloudy ice pellets - you name it, we had it. My apologies for a few misspelled words and Legion meeting was held on the regular day. McCreary Health Auxillary attended their yearly conference on Oct. 5,6,7. This year it was held in Virden. Those from here attending were Vern Sheppard, Mary Shultz, Theresa Nault and Annie Lashewicz. They were accompanied by Audrey McLaughlin who joined her Snow Lake group. Free fall hikes sponsored by McCreary Ski and Outdoor Club and Healthy Together Now have been taking place during the month of October. On Oct. 13 they hiked Bald Hill. They are planning to hike the Gorge Creek Trail, and on Saturday Oct. 27 It's the Scott Family and Creek Trail. This hike requires a creek crossing - bring crocs (rubbers not a crocodile). Wear suitable clothing for the weather and bring lunch. You are to meet at the McCreary Arena at 9:30 a.m. to carpool. Season AGM and Finale BBQ will be on Monday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. Bring something to share to go with the meat and punch which will be supplied. Call 835-2529 for more info.
