Plumas UCW meetings begin

Condolences to Florence Denbow's family. She was a great lady. Deanna Dixon of Rankin Inlet, NV visited with her mother, Isabel Dixon, for a couple of days. Isabel Dixon and a couple of friends spent a few days in Grand Forks, ND. Plumas UCW met at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17 for the first meeting of the fall season. Cleaning of the annex was done by the Grass River Colony ladies. The curtains and carpets have been completed. The kitchen utensils are now housed in the new cabinet built for us by Warren Kunzelman. Thanks expressed to all who helped with the funeral lunch for the late Florence Denbow. Correspondence included thanks from Rock Lake Camp and Ross Brooke House for donations sent. A note from Marie Thomson was shared. The North Agassiz UCW rally will be held in Oakville on Oct. 18. Names, in memoriam, and numbers attending need to be sent in by Oct. 11. We look forward to more work being done in the "back room". The west curtains will be cleaned. Though our suggested price for a funeral lunch remains low, it was decided to not change it at this time. The meeting closed with the Mizpah benediction.
