On Sept. 24 shortly after 11:30 p.m., RCMP McCreary Detachment along with the local Fire Department responded to a fire at the J.A.R. Centre in Crane River. Officers arrived on scene and found the Community Centre engulfed in flames. Estimates of damages are not available, however the building was totally destroyed by the fire. RCMP along with fire investigators from the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate. The fire is considered arson. No one was in the building at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries. The investigation continues.
