McCreary Graduation 2012 was held Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The graduates were Katie Mulligan, Myles Scott, and Sheena-Rae Zalizniak.
Katie Mulligan received the William Meldrum Memorial Scholarship, and The K. Maurice Cantin School Fund Award. Katie also received the Turtle River Teachers’ Association Award, Floyde Award, and the highest academic average in English Comprehensive Focus 40S. Katie was the Class Valedictorian.
Myles Scott received the award for the highest average in Applied Technology 40S.
Sheena-Rae Zalizniak received the award for the highest average for Home Economics 40G.
June 21, 2012 Neal Baptiste received a McCreary School Diploma for completing the requirements of his program at McCreary School. His graduation was also held in the school gymnasium.
Awards for the Kindergarten to Grade 11 students were held Wednesday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium. The Kindergarten through Grade 4 students received awards for reaching their goals for the year.
The Dreda Ennis Award which is presented to the student in Grade 6 with the highest average went to Kelsey Mutch and the Most Improved student went to Jensen Anderson.
The students from grade 7-11 receive medals for Gold (average 90-100 per cent), Silver (80-89), and Bronze (70-79).
