NUSA wraps up House League play

Kim Smith

The Neepawa United Soccer Association (NUSA) House League consisted of 75 boys and girls aged three to eight.

They played every Tuesday night for one hour from the beginning of May until the middle of June.
Thank you to the parents and high school students who volunteered to coach as well as parents who volunteered to manage each of the 12 teams!

Each night of practice the coaches ran through drills for the first half hour. After that the different age groups played each other in mini games.

This league was sponsored by Tim Horton's.

Each player received a Tim Horton's jersey at the beginning of the season that they get to keep.
The league wrapped up their season on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 with the players receiving medals and freezies sponsored by NUSA as well as water bottles sponsored by Tim Horton's.

The soccer players had a blast playing their parents in the last games of the season! Following the game, athletes were treated to super-size Freezies while parents took some time to catch their breath.

NUSA sincerely hopes that all the boys and girls enjoyed their soccer season and hope they return next year!
