On November 18, 2011 at about 12:15 p.m. Neepawa RCMP as well as local emergency
Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two vehicle collision on
Highway 5, north of Neepawa near the junction of PR 352.

Initial investigation indicates that a 2009 Dodge pick up truck was north bound on
Highway 5 when it lost control and went into the path of a south bound semi
trailer.

The occupants of the pick up truck, an adult male and an adult
female were pronounced deceased at the scene. Confirmation of identities is
pending. There were no other injuries reported.

Road conditions were
reported to be snow covered and slippery, with poor visibility at the time of
the collision.

Investigators from the Neepawa detachment as well as an
RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst remain on the scene at this time.The highway is
expected to remain closed to traffic until at least 4:00 p.m.
