On July 16 to 18 minor baseball provincial play offs were held with ball players, parents and grandparents there to cheer them on.
The Gladstone and Plumas A mosquito team played in Hamiota. In round robin they won 3 lost 1. Then lost to Brandon 9-8 in the semi final.
The Gladstone/Plumas Pee Wee A team lost in the semi final.
Rianna Tonn who played softball with the Brandon magic this year, lost in the semi-final.
The Neepawa/Plumas bantom AA team lost their first two games in Stonewall on July 16th.
Saturday morning they got rained out, which stopped playing all day. At night the teams were told that any team not winning on Friday could go home. In the final game on Sunday, Portage beat Stonewall.
Jaycee Schettler spend the weekend in Winnipeg attending a hockey school
Its odd to see Mrs. Bill Schettler home after spending a few days in Neepawa hospital.
Isabel Dixon accompanied by Bernice Evenson, attended her grandson’s Richard Brown’s social in Rivers Saturday evening.
