Homecoming was in the black.
Leading up to the Manitoba Homecoming 2010 festivities in May, there was speculation that the event was in dire financial circumstances despite winning a $50,000 grant.
On July 14, Rick Donaldson told The Neepawa Press however, that preliminary figures suggested a profit. At last week’s council meeting Town of Neepawa CAO Allison Bardsley made it official — the Town expects to pocket $13,500.
"We had an even bigger success than imagined," Councillor Wayne Hollier said.
