The act of Tom and Laurie are making their way to Neepawa's Lily Festival this weekend.

Tom Neufeld and his wife Laurie have been singing and entertaining together since they were friends in high school. Their acts consist of many different genres with their Patsy and Hank Tribute, Lulu and the Tomcat a family oriented show,and their Tom and Laurie act which they will be performing Saturday in the Lily Lounge.
"We are looking forward to being back in Neepawa. There is two reasons we wanted to be a part of the entertainment this year. One, Laurie collects lilies, our backyard is full of them, and two, you run a great festival full of a great mix of entertainment, food and lilies," Neufeld said.

The couple love a variety of humour, singing and entertaining. Over the years they have played everything from rock and roll and jazz to country and family.
"Our intention is to have everyone smiling, tapping their toes to familiar tunes. We love performing," Neufeld said.

Come on out and enjoy the sounds of Tom and Laurie at the 14th Annual Neepawa and Area Lily Festival July 24 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Another exciting entertainment gig coming to the festival is Mackenzie Road. A country band consisting of a brother and two sisters who have been singing together all their lives.

"It's very exciting to have these performers come to our festival," Audrey Heffell, Lily Festival coordinator said.

John, Teena and Sue formed a group called Sibling Harmony in 2003 but finally became Mackenzie Road in May of '09. They recently entered the Colgate Country Showdown, the largest country music talent search in America. They won the local and state finals, and advanced to the Midwest Regional Finals where they placed fourth overall and put themselves in the Top 20 of the nation.

"We're working with a producer out of Winnipeg and our first album comes out in the fall," John Davis said.
The trio was asked by Lily Festival entertainment coordinator Phil Nevile to play this year after having played at his former club in Mazatlan.

"We are so excited to be coming. We will be playing some cover songs, original songs. It's going to be good family entertainment with a lot of energy," Davis said.
To hear the unique blend of voices that only happens between siblings, come out to the Lily Lounge July 24. They will be playing between 6 and 9 p.m.
