Bowlers bring home gold

The Plumas and Gladstone bowlers bring the gold medal back home. Congratulations everyone!

Winning the gold in the 55 + - 64 age group was Pearl Sollner, Dorothy Mollner, Ted Mauthe, Wayne and Gladys Gork.

75+ team of Bernice Evenson with all Gladstone bowlers, allan McDiarmid, Audry Clayton, Joe Shelestynski and Grant McRae.

Ted Mauthe got gold in his age group for single bowling.
Allan Hogarth won gold in single crib. The Gladstone 65+ team of Alice Murphy, Reg. and Thelma Gray, Ralph Cook and Sophie Fred Abjornson got the bronze medals.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Porosky of Okotoks, Alb. were weekend guests of her brother Mr. and Mrs. Victor Stinson.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Low of Stonewall were weekend guests with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Tom Madill. While they attended the 50th wedding anniversary tea for Mr. and Mrs. Jim McGregor. Wanda was the flower girl at their wedding.

Congratulations Jim and Gail McGregor on their 50th anniversary. May you enjoy many more.

Helping celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Jim McGregor 50th anniversary from out of town were Jim's two sisters Margaret from Winnipeg and Marie from B.C. Gail's cousins Darlene Myles of Portage, also Mr. and Mrs. Morris Drydale of Winnipeg Gail was happy to see her bridesmaid Trudis Ellis of Winnipeg who she hadn't seen since 1970 and other bridesmaid Connie and Ed Kien from Rocanville, Sask. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Haslbeck of Brandon Dropped by on Saturday afternoon.

Allan Kirkland of Thompson spent a few days at his house in town.
I spent Sunday visiting my grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Sveinson in Winnipeg. I didn't see any more water on the fields than right here at home.
