Franklin News - Kudos to Memorial Hall volunteers

Bouquets go out to Dennis and Irene Magwood for their organizational skills, hammer and paint brush in hand and with a small group of volunteers, built a replica of the CPR Station Office and renovated the old kitchen into a Memorbellia Room on the west end of the hall. Volunteers also did an excellent job of organizing the 90th Anniversary of the Franklin Memorial Hall. 240 adults and 10 children sat down to a delicious Cold Plate catered by Lorette.Several others came to watch the parade and spent time in the hall enjoying the picture display. Ernie and Patty Andriechuk of Ashville, Manitoba and Wade, Brooklyn and Tylan Magwood of Morris, Manitoba were weekend visitors at the Magwoods and enjoyed the celebrations on Sunday.
Thelma (Petch) Lafreniere of Carman, Manitoba, Della (Petch) Janzen of Killarney and Iris (Campbell) Freeman were overnight guests on June 13th with Ron and Sharon Petch also had enjoyed the festivities on Sunday.
Helena Fleger of Winnipeg was an overnight guest at the Fleger residence on June 12.
Ron, Beryl and Gerald Parrott visited with Rosemary Parrott and family, June 3-7 and attended Mitchell Parrott's  Grade XII graduation on June 5th at Olds Koinonia Christian School  in Olds Alberta.  Chris Shulz and Rod Nwemera also visited in Olds and attended the graduation ceremonies.
