This event is free for families with children up to five years old. There will be a variety stations for the families to visit with games, prizes and information.
All children are invited to bring their favourite teddy bear or stuffed animal to take along to the stations. If the teddy bear needs a check-up the EMS staff with the ambulance will look after it.

Other activities the families can look forward to are story time, family crafts, face painting, cookie decorating, a music station and a teddy bear treasure hunt.
This year we invite you to bring your own picnic lunch and we will provide you with snacks and a beverage donated by local businesses to add to your picnic.
This year's event is being organized by ARHA's Families First Home Visitors, Kelly Boyle, and Dawn Haines-Shaw and the Assiniboine Parent Child Coalitions, along with support from many community partners is Neepawa.
The Parent Child Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations interested in working with parents and caregivers to ensure children are healthy and happy. Funded by Healthy Child Manitoba, we partner with community groups to offer programs to parents, caregivers and others interested in healthy child development.
The Families First Home Visitors work in conjunction with the Parent Child Coalition to provide community programs that enrich the educational environment of preschool children.
The goals of the Teddy Bear picnic is to for parents/caregivers and young children to join in fun outdoor activities together, we want to raise safety awareness on a variety of topics for parents and familiarize families with the community support services.
The Teddy Bear Picnic has been growing over last three years and would not be possible with out the great support from the whole community.
As the picnic is getting so popular we are continuing to look for more partners in the community to support this great community event.
If you are an individual, business, or service club that is interested in supporting the picnic, please contact Dawn at 476-7838 or Kelly at 476-2341 ext. 271 or Shauna McTavish, Parent Child Coalition Coordinator at 764-4272. Please call if you have any questions regarding the Teddy Bear Picnic.
